Class 2 a mixed Year 1 and 2 class at Blackawton Primary School. We work closely with Team Challenge, who are a mixed Year 2 and 3 class, to ensure equal provision for our Year 2 children.

​

We foster independence and decision making in Class 2.  This includes children reflecting on their learning and being proud of their mistakes. As a school, we pride ourselves on knowing each child as an individual, socially, emotionally and academically. This ensures the learning is tailored to each child’s needs and pitched at a level that is both stimulating and challenging.    A team spirit, where each child’s individual attributes are valued and celebrated is evident within our class. This enables children to gain confidence and independence, allowing them both the academic and social and emotional foundations to move through our school positively.

 

Throughout the week, we offer an enriching curriculum including half a day of Forest School and weekly sessions of music, art and PE
